George Canyon is a renowned Canadian country music singer and songwriter.  Born in 1972 in New Glasgow, Nova Scotia, Canada, Canyon began performing at local venues in his hometown in his teenage years.  He taught himself to play guitar and studied music at the Canadian College of Performing Arts.  Canyon gained popularity with his debut album in 1995. He is considered one of the most successful Canadian country artists ever, having earned numerous awards and recognition throughout his musical career.
