Why will I love it?
The charming white jasmine is a climber native to China and Myanmar. Its slender stems, with dark-green pinnate leaves, can stretch up to a generous 6 metres in length and 3 metres across, transforming any space into a botanical sanctuary. Indoors, it gracefully entwines itself around climbing supports, staying beautifully contained. However, what makes this plant a showstopper is its super-fragrant flowers. Delicate, white and star-shaped blossoms emerge in late winter and early spring from an abundance of reddish-pink flower buds.

Light or shade?
Jasmine thrives in full sunlight or partial shade.

Where should I put it?
It adores high humidity, which makes the bathroom an ideal home. There, in the moisture-rich atmosphere, it unfurls its fragrant blooms, infusing your space with sweet, floral notes.

How do I keep it alive?
If your home doesn’t boast high humidity naturally, lavish it with frequent misting sessions or place it on a tray of wet pebbles. Water a little and often to maintain its preferred hydration level, and ensure the room temperature never drops below 7C.

Did you know …

Its genus name, Jasminum polyanthum, is thought to be derived from “yasmyn”, the anglicised version of the Arabic word for “jasmine”, which originally meant fragrant flower. The term polyanthum, from the Greek words polús and anthos, means “many flowers”, an apt descriptor for this prolific bloomer.
