Hilary Duff has been sporting a temporary tattoo with what are reported to be 'Scientology symbols' but the starlet insists it is just an inking of her favourite moon.
However, she has been hanging out with 'Hollywood's young Scientology crowd' and RadarOnline reports that 26-year-old Hilary spent time at the recent Coachella music festival with Alanna Masterson, who is not only a proud Scientology but rumoured to have dated Connor Cruise, the son of noted Scientology member Tom Cruise.
Despite Hilary's insistence that the tattoo doesn't mean anything, OK! Magazine has revealed she is 'exploring the religion' in the wake of her marriage split from Mike Comrie in January.

The tattoo features a small triangle, a symbol of the utmost importance in Scientology, which is also known as the 'ARC” or 'Affinity, Reality and Communication' triangle.
Radar noted that in addition to the triangle, Hilary also appeared to be 'inked up with a tiny rendition of an image similar to the Scientology cross — a cross with tiny diagonal rays between the horizontal and vertical arms.'
They also pointed out that this is the symbol most frequently used to represent the church.

With tracks already finished for her new album and a starring role in the new comedy series Younger, from the creator of Sex and The City, Hilary's professional life is looking better than ever.
As for her own personal spiritual beliefs, Hilary has previously declared that when she was younger she was very much a churchgoer. Now that she is older she claims that she doesn't feel it necessary to attend church in order to be a believer.
'I travel so much and I work so hard, but I have faith in that kind of thing and I pray all the time and I believe in God,' she has previously declared in an interview.

Hilary's pal Alanna, meanwhile, completed her first Scientology course, the 'Objectives' course, in 2003 when she was just 15 and has since become heavily enmeshed in the church's activities.
Alanna's father, Joe Reaiche, later left the church and now voices major concerns about his Scientologist daughter.
'I paid for my kids to go to private Scientology school but it’s a total fraud,' he declared. '…Recently Alanna gave them $25,000 because they told her they could give her superpowers. That’s on top of the normal 50 to 100 grand a year she pays in fees.'

Alanna is not the only Scientologist that Hilary been hanging out with in recently either. Last year, she attended the Children Mending Hearts event in Hollywood hosted by proud Scientologist Kelly Preston.
Ironically, Hilary's first crush was on Kelly's husband, John Travolta, another of Hollywood's most notable Scientologists.
